Following in Elfje’s eggfast shoes out of curiosity… can it pull me out of my funk, can it jolt out the weight I’ve been half-happily but also a bit “meh” about, hanging there for the past 6-7 years? will I get mega egg ick and start turning green? will I pack my bags and move out in the middle of the night and run away to Italy to start a bee farm in a fit of madness? I mean, anything could happen really.

Most likely I will just tackle each meal as it comes, revel in the LCHF/keto clarity hit that comes at the 24-72 hour mark, and who knows… while I have zero expectations thinking I can be 70kg as my new weight, instead of 75… maybe? I think many people who try this usually break a stall with 2-4kg of mostly water weigh lost and maybe 1kg of fat & muscle. I am realistic, but I also have lost all expectation of actually being able to lose more weight permanently after so long, and question if it’s even possible any more.

I will likely be eating below BMR for these 5 days because fats&proteins are high satiety, but most bodies my size & fat percentage at a healed metabolic state calorie wise can handle this kind of deficit for up to 12 weeks without any serious metabolic downregulation effects (metabolic downregulation is when we have dieted extremely for a looooooong time then they wonder why we can’t lose weight on 1000 calories anymore and need less less less just to maintain — this is not my case anymore i healed that state long time ago)…. So don’t worry about eating below BMR for 5 days is 5 days, even up to a week or two would be fine, I am mostly curious if it can crack me out of this perceived stall, and maybe I can shift my new goal to 70kg instead of 75 after maintaining here so long. If it *is* possible, I would like to know how to do that long term in a way that feels natural and not forced.

So, let’s get cracking :D today is day 1/5 then there are 2 adjustment days to reintroduce meat/veg. What I am hoping to gain out of the experiment:
1) can 70kg be my new goal weight? This experiment may “fix” my doubts about being able to lose weight anymore
2) skin. My skin looked best eating basic fats and protein than it ever did before in my life, I hope it will become really nice and clear again from breakouts - this can actually take up to 6 weeks but I did experience it
3) re-focus my motivation to set new goals in life in general. I have been living in a stress fog of indifference for too long and focusing on diet/exercise and physical goals helps me start a wave of changes in other life areas, like a beginning focal point.
